there's a lot said here...frames of mind can play tricks and can sometimes tune into the frequency though it may not be clear on a cloudy night (meaning I could read this for hours and find several different ways to interpret this)....with that said... faithless, and no want of it as she waits through eternity...a penny for her immortal thoughts...even if I'm wrong, I like it, because I may be right shortly.... =o)
nice cinquain, Trisha

*Applause* This was simply beautiful Trisha! So much truth from so few words. This is a fav for me. We all have moments of being self righteous. This will serve as a reminder of that.-Catrina

"But I suppose if I have to explain it, I didn't do my job!"

I got it, you did a great job. It kinda makes me chilly, which is good. :)

Irony was the important word here; that things should get so bad that even a Godless person would beg for mercy. But I suppose if I have to explain it, I didn't do my job!

there word choice is quite bold, i'm not sure you can ge arond that though...

the 'lack of a god' being 'merciful' is quite attractive, but i'm not sure how the other points would fit into that versus other possible points.
