there's a lot said here...frames of mind can play tricks and can sometimes tune into the frequency though it may not be clear on a cloudy night (meaning I could read this for hours and find several different ways to interpret this)....with that said... faithless, and no want of it as she waits through eternity...a penny for her immortal thoughts...even if I'm wrong, I like it, because I may be right shortly.... =o)
nice cinquain, Trisha

Very nice. I admire people who can write a short poem and say so much as you have here.
It is an irony for many I feel.

Very good writing.

Peace

Short and to the point, this speaks volumes with an economy of words. Well-done. ... love the irony. It is indeed the rare individual who does not cry out to God when in pain. Well done!

I am so glad I came to visit your page and read this piece. Man, not a single ounce of fat on it's frame and not needing of another bite either. I can't think of anything to offer her except praise -- it is hard to forge something so complete and so short, but you have done it.

This is very interesting piece. The irony is being a godless person but asking for mercy. Hmmm who is she asking mercy from. I believe maybe her own mind. Great job made me think.

I love this poem form for its brevity and I often write quatrains myself. There is something really quite excruciating about this piece and I couldn't decide if it was metaphor for heartbreak or just plain old-fashioned torture. Great work.

I agree with Brian on this piece and I love when poets can express so much with such a small amount of words.

I really liked the irony of a godless person begging for mercy. This write proves sometimes short and simple is best :)
