The Force of the Words

The Force of the Words

A Poem by SelfHelp
"

Just a poem for Meredith Greene's contest on why we have to write.

"

My fingers start to type

with a life all their own.

And the words on the pages

have suddenly grown.

It comes from a place

even I don’t know well.

I wonder at the stories

and things that they tell.

It comes from a place

deep down in my soul.

It must go down on paper

afraid of falling into the unknown.

For a non-serious mini ballad, its got a life of its own. Not bad at all and poignant to boot. Keep up the pen.
