The Daisy Oracle

The Daisy Oracle

A Poem by Sel Sense

While picking the petals off the daisy for each repeated phrase
men have quickly learnt to number their days.
As they await the final verdict
on an expired proposal, whose outcome is impossible to predict

She loves me; She loves me not!

It has been a conundrum that has baffled the greatest minds
and this love confusion has evolved over time.
Sending many more on its downward spiral
of ambivalence; not knowing what will be final.

She loves me; She loves me not!

Wouldn't it be great to skip the waiting period of uncertainty?
A lady's words and actions must have a little more clarity
so men can know where they stand; though not as backup options
where they are kept reciting, in cardiac and mental exhaustion...

She loves me; She loves me not!

I would like to be associated with the words of the last speaker. A definite Yes to the ideas expressed so eloquently.
