Apology

Apology

A Poem by Rivaxorus

I'm sorry. I'm sorry people are so cruel to you, and I'm sorry that the world is turned against you. For all of the darkness that covers you, for all the uncomfortable shadows that seem to haunt you. For your sadness, your pain. I'm sorry that I don't have the power to lift those spirits. Because the truth is......I just want someone to tell me their sorry.......but I'm sorry. I'm sorry for being selfish.

Wow, this piece has a lot of emotion in it.

But, I get this. I do.

For me, this piece speaks volumes. I mean, it can be interpreted in so many ways.

Loss, fear, sadness, & anger is shown.

Loss: The loss of a character's kindness. "I'm sorry for being selfish". Well, who woudn't be? I mean, society is so fucked up nowadays, it messes people up. Believe me, I've seen it happen...too often...

Fear: The fear that you won't be able to help the person, but then fearing you'll be sucked in, and get too caught up in helping them that you forget to also help yourself.

Sadness: It just has kots of pain it...I can feel it. It's overpowering.

Anger: ""Because the truth is.....I just want someone to tell me their sorry....." If I were to speak these words, it would be out of anger. Anger because I would feel like I deserved to be told sorry. Deserved to at least get an apology for the pain that I endure. But, no one is going to apologize. Because the pain that you, I, or anyone endures are brought on ourselves.

I loved, loved, loved. This is your best yet. 100 rating. Just awesome.

Interesting thoughts in the words. All of us like story. Real or not. Keep our mind alive and active. No reason to apology. Poetry and writing is to show, tell and teach. Thank you fro sharing your thoughts.

It's so short but it hit me hard. It's really relatable, and if you would develop this into a long piece, I'd read it any day.
You have an unique style. I hope to read more from you.
