Well done, I enjoyed this short impact poem. I relate to it in a way you might not have imagined. I see the internet here, of formed relationships that crack and breach that cannot be mended.
I can see about the realisation that we must reluctantly discard a relationship because of the pain of loving yet hating their behaviour, habits, talk, values, principles and yet you are so fond of them.
Sad, to move and yet we do, and as you finally say in a year they are but a distant fog in the back of your mind and that fondness that once was ours has died. You no more wish to carouse with them in raucous rooms, you no long wish to whisper sweet intimacies or talk of grand schemes it is dead and they though are alive are also dead to you.
:(. You got A point. It's clearly written . Eff those shadows!!! Ha ha I like it... I'm thinking you plan on extending this one ? Or no not really? Either way it's great. Short. Simple, a little haunting actually. I love it. :)
