Integral SongA Poem by SehkmetThe plastic fauna sway silently before the midnight vent of an interrupting zephyr As I peered through the looking glass of a world behind this window I could see the ruminants of last nights battle against the morning light sky The shift in sound that echoed as vibrations Stood every hair bound to this body as if reaching for escape. To me it was beautiful A hopeful wish trailing through distant hearts The dew weigh heavily on each blade of growth Transforming the morning light Blinding broken beams before this beautiful early hour sight To my surprise I wasn’t alone Awed by the aviating voices of an elegant wood thrush I promised silently to listen as she sang for me “Although I cannot understand you and we are not nearly the same, is it wrong for me to share a beautiful song I’d like you to name” “Unsteady the orbs that gleam as you gaze I began to see the hollow spaces moistened your face” “My dear human what is the shame from a voice poised as insane, we are not nearly the same, but please give this song a name” A hopeful wish trailing through distant hearts I could not believe this insanity of a beautiful start Can I remain here just to listen my dear wonderful wood thrush I fear it would be to much to stand alone without your crutch Like the dew that weigh heavily on each blade of growth I wish to be transformed into the morning light Beautiful before beams broken and blinding during this early hour flight To my surprise you weren’t alone Curious by my cold crying voice of my being Cant you promise to listen silently as I sang for you? © 2011 Sehkmet |
