The Jolly Polly-math.

The Jolly Polly-math.

A Poem by Bryan Sefton

When the new born day
Forgives the callous night
For getting in the way
Of her warming light
She flings aside his curtain
To raise her warming sun
And in the doing of it
The morning song's begun
Merrily the morning song
Is sounding all around
In the air, On the pond
Both in and on the ground
On the wing. On the hoof
The movement gathers pace
A million singing voices
A million different ways
The tidal sound travels
Running along before
The gushing waves of singing
Covering sea and shore
She directs winds around the earth
Her winding currents in the sea
She guides the krill to feeding grounds
Helps the whale on his mating spree
Lovingly, she warms the seed
Then tenderly, she cares
Instinctively seeing to their needs
Till they stand blooming there
Waving in the suns path
Their sign of jubilation
See this jolly poly-math
Seeding sweet elation

Hello dear Bryan.
"The morning song's begun
Merrily the morning song
Is sounding all around
In the air, On the pond"
I enjoyed the above lines. We must seek beautiful and peaceful place to keep our sanity. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.
