Lost Chances.

Lost Chances.

A Poem by Bryan Sefton
"

Opportunity knocking, nobody listening.

"
She could have been a dancer but the music wasn't heard
She could have been a flyer but she shunned the path of birds
She could have been a dolphin but the water was too cold
She could have been eternal but she watched herself grow old
And the crimson silk creation stayed a tattered piece of cloth
And the gold lay undiscovered as she wore her chains of dross
Her voice, the sound of music, became as hard as any drill
Oh! She could have been a sunrise but she stayed behind the hill

Really nice poetry Bryan. Final line says it all. Flows well with rhyming couplets. Thank you

Awesome in form and content! I love the repeating syllable counts in the lines and the rhyming couplets on the end lines. Is this a poetry form or your own amazing talent? ~Sharon
