What Is Truth

A love poem that I deleted awhile back. I've decided to give it a second chance.

  What is truth?

As you pass through time

Always gotta’ keep in mind that there's proof you can find

There's a surf you can ride

Your life can't be the lime light if you never tried

If those dreams you had

Had never lied…

What is truth?

Truth is that in which you confide

Truth is what you make it

If you keep a promise it means you'll never break it...

What is truth?

Let’s just say you can't create myth

Let’s just say you promise me a life that could be...

Or say I promise you and you'll see....

What truth has arisen ...

I just need you to see…

These moments as a vision of something I promise you've always simply been missin’

What is truth?

Truth is your life in revision...

What...

Are...

Lies...

Lies is when there's something you were promised and it was something that you wanted but then you never got  s h i t

Lies is when you got everything you ever wanted but then forfeit

What are lies?

Lies…

Are set aside when I look into your eyes

Truth is all I saw in you but never knew…

Until you smiled and gave me a clue

About what I need to do

As to how my world grew

About how long the truths been passed due

As to how long these lies have never been realized in real life

And how callin’ you mine makes me feel like everything's  gonna’ be alright

You see…

I wrote this throughout a long night

With emotions that I couldn't fight and a chest that constantly felt tight

Let’s just say this is a new day

Let’s just agree to be free

To be honest

I wasn't living till’ you made my life more fulfilling

Made my world start spinning

So all my emotions

Into this next verse I’m spilling

It's crazy but I think you made me a better man

More willing to live with such an overwhelming feeling...

Of happiness

 Back before I met you it just so happens

I was only half a man

Unless it's normal to say these things

Memorize these rhymes

Cuz’ you make me feel like a king so within these lines you’ll find

No need for lies

So once again I’ll ask...

What is truth?

The truth is I hope you're left wondering and wandering

Conjuring these memories because to be honest...

My truths within you

 These rhymes are just here to help you see through lies

Help you realize that you are all that’s on this man’s mind

I only speak the truth when I say…

You mean so much more to me now

I won’t ever let you down…

So once again here is to you my full honesty

When you’re with me...

There will always be a friend in me if your soul seeks serenity

When I’m with you

I feel the most in harmony

When I am with you…

I no longer feel as though living life is my enemy

You came into my life...

From the exhaustion of a never ending plight

You saved me

Which then gave me…

Love worth a never ending fight

You are the truth

In my once dark and lying life

E v e n   i f   you  are  a  w o r l d  a w a y
