Fate Unfolding

Fate Unfolding

A Poem by SeemsPoetic
"

A poem about a boy realizing his destiny.

"

By: SeemsPoetic

There was a boy losing sight

losing sight of his future

His might could not withstand the pressure

He was up till 4 last night.

He laid there

In his head he listened to his thoughts put up a good fight

Over what's wrong and what's right

Over how long he hasn't been living life

I'm sad to say he saw the evidence stacked on his back
Evidence of a lifeless past

So much so...

Even his mind

Couldn't keep his dreams from running off track

Thanks to the motivation this kid lacks these days

He lays in bed and fades away...

Away from a world where the visions of his future...

Have become cold and grey…

Let me just ponder one question if I may...

Why's this world full of a race who supposedly...

Live so boldly,

Yet...

Most of us never took the first step towards that in which...

Our mind,
Heart,
And soul-seek...

So early in life,
Our dreams derail each day without fail.

The world knocks us on our a s s because it said to think fast
But...

Nothing prepares you for the weight of the world

So he checks the time in the hour glass...

To see how long the world will allow his next big dream to last….

He thinks of all his so called mistakes

The world throws in his-face

Making it so hard not to reside in his lifeless past...

But...

He's beginning to see

He's waking up from his sleepless dreams

He's breaking free

In the end it seems

He's gonna have the last laughs,

He's gonna take back what was stolen.

Take back his destiny

Let's face facts...

In one's own two hands is a fate in which one's holding...

As they grow up…

One by one...

Their fingers begin unfolding.

Forced to let go of those high hopes

But...

It's all a lie because if you just peer through the world's scope...

You see down the line how a clear conscious cleared the grey smoke

And from the endless nightmare the big dreamer eventually awoke.

As he realized all his dreams would have died if he never tried.

In due time...

It was the unworldly world he invoked.

His words began to unroll and unravel
As he spoke the sleepless stories of a boys untold-battles...

Through the ages he hopes his stories shall travel.
