Keep My Thoughts Inside

Keep My Thoughts Inside

A Poem by SeekingMeaning

Would you be embarrassed to know

How many thoughts I have spilled over you--

Creating futures,

Reliving pasts,

Thinking over and over again,

“I like you.

I hate how much I like you.”

You've twisted yourself into every

Crevice of my brain.

In thirty minutes I am triggered

Thirty times, jolted into you.

It's all I can do

To scoop up these scattering thoughts,

Cramming them back inside

And stitching my mouth shut.

I don't want you to know

That you are more to me than
I could ever be to you.
