I'd like all the weight and the mess, A me-and-you standing with the world's couples. But an unexpected benefit of keeping silent Is never knowing what you think or how you feel. And honestly, I couldn't handle your look of discomfort, Your shift away from me, Or the way everything would become stilted and wrong.
There's too much to lose, Even though I have nothing.
