Can You See Me Now?

Can You See Me Now?

A Poem by Christina Nichole

Why do you look at me
Like you don't even know my face?
My eyes have met yours a thousand times
You look away in a haste
Why do you look away?

I walk by you in silence
No words are spoken
Yet the silence drills into my brain
Leaves my heart broken
What can I say?

Tears fall now
Full of crimson down the skin
As a sweet release comes
As soon as it starts it ends
There is no sound

This song is coming to a close
The darkness taking over
All I needed you to know
Was that I should have been your lover
Can you see me now?

The crimson flag flowing
Over my entire body
Ribbons falling all around me
The colors are so lovely
Can you see me now?
