Be My Safe CornerA Poem by Luthien of the Woods
Be my safe corner when a nightmare plagues me
Hiding from the prying eyes taunting, sneering at my pale countenance. Be my safe corner as I writhe in the agony of conscience stricken by guilt of past sins, victories I should have won but haven't. Be my safe corner as I howl in painful misery Running from the pricking ears quick to listen to my muffled cries. Be my safe corner as I recollect myself picking up tattered pieces of who I am, the image I supposed to live but failed. © 2009 Luthien of the Woods |
