Forget Me

Forget Me

A Poem by Luthien of the Woods
"

" Musings about saying goodbye to good things..."

"

"Forget me." You said once

but how can I?

Or I might as well forget

the sun hidden

beneath the darkened skies.

How will I forget a face

written on my heart

and the ghost of your voice

that haunts?

"Forget me."

Such trite words

you uttered before you're gone

Yet my heart still bleeds

when I read your name.

Our memories have lingered

through the passing years.

Then let me

in anguish

relivies the pain

If only you remain.

The deep pain of a relationship that is over, while the heart still beats for that person.............

Yet my heart still bleeds

when I read your name.

Our memories have lingered

through the passing years.

We don't forget. For some reaon we remember all the good and beautiful times, and miss that person
even years later, and what they meant, even if we have moved on.............really sad beautiful piece.
