in the year you were mineA Poem by VERONICANo Disclaimers
It was Earth day all the time.
Softly we'd speak Spanish. Green spinning around us on a tire swing. A Jamba Juice smoothie watered down by the rain. On the day I didn't listen, in the year you were mine, you consoled me with smooches and gave leave for the witches to let the sunshine break the clouds. And in the second when that happened, on the day I didn't listen in the year you were mine, I swear a rainbow cut across the sky and a straight line through my heart. Through my heart, we'd eat berries for an hour and plan to execute mustardseeds. The berries stained my lips purple stained your lips red stained your fingertips pink stained me tan in the sun In the year when I might have had someone.
