Broken Ambition

A Poem by A. L. Robinson

I want to paint pain

into beauty, but my brush

can't find the colors.

Nice, meaningful haiku. What colors would pain be?

I love Haikus and sometimes find them difficult to write because of both the rules and the brevity, but you have done a wonderful job here of expressing raw emotion with colors... there's a word for that, I think it's called synesthesia. Anyway, beautiful job. I think you just gave me inspiration to write something on synesthesia.
