Walls

Walls

A Poem by Seantesunflower

All the walls built so strong
All came down one by one

The sacred place that I protected so well
With broken dreams shattered on the ground

the pieces So sharp that no one dare tread
For what was there would truly shred

My place to hide what I had left behind
No ones soul would ever know what I confined

But all it took was one gentle being
That opened the doors and set me free

No more to darkness shall I remain
You set me free...no more chains

My days are filled with beauty and sun
And I just want to thank you for what you have done

This could easily have been titled 'Escape' or 'Freedom'. It's a superbly expressive write. Very nicely done. Tom

This is a lovely poem about overcoming hurt and finding emotional intimacy! I also love the imagery of the walls crashing down and breaking into sharp shards that could cut anyone who went near. Emotional pain can be very contagious! Walls can represent so many different things as well, from protection to imprisonment, and I think the walls are a very good metaphore in this case. Protecting oneself emotionally makes one feel safe, but it is in fact very confining.

Well done!

Wow, this is a beautiful write. I love the emotions and grace, the flow from line to line and the heartfelt that seems to overpower the reader...meaning me. I enjoyed this very much and think you have a passionate heart.
