Just passing by

Just passing by

A Poem by Seantesunflower

A smile that accents his eyes the color of cyaneous skies on a clear summer's day

just passing by

A slight limp in walk and dressed as if the years have taken its toll

But there was more to him that I never did know

A mysterious, mischievous, colorful character dancing around as you could hear from his pockets the change and keys
jingling along with the rhythm of his feet

Now sitting on his front porch in the twilight of eve with a small writing book and a pen where he filled his
journal with words of a softer side unseen by the outward eye.

Addicted to pain as if it was his best friend and destroying anything in the path of the least bit happiness as to
him it is unknown.

I haven't the slightest the words that his pen has stroked across the pages of his journal and rather fear to find
out

But the accidental touch of the hand that pours his soul on the pages touched mine and I carried that with me since

Silently yearning to know more

His carefree smile under the summer skies where the soft wind blows the clouds away to let the summer sun's warmth
bask him while he danced around as you could hear the keys and change from his pockets jingling along with the
rhythm of his feet
