Reminiscence of the Past Future (part 1)

Reminiscence of the Past Future (part 1)

A Poem by Seantesunflower

Long ago in a place not so near
I happened upon a love so dear

Nearer to togetherness was in our sight
However our love couldn’t bear the fight

Our hands slid away from our lovers grasp
Fingertips parted as our love unclasp

Days turned into weeks and weeks to years
But deep in my heart I held our love dear

Infinite memories began to fade
Like water dissipating from the everglades

Time passes and life pressed on
Every day waking to a lonely new dawn

Quirky memories still kept from the past
There was never a dull moment, we always had a blast

Never in my wildest dreams would I have imagined
It was my love walking by and my heart beckoned

Beckoned to be with yours once more
Fate has opened loves gates once more

We ran to one another and fell into that old embrace
Reminiscence of the Past Future we unlocked face to face
