What I thought as an ordinary trip to the store
Has changed my mind of change machines forever more
It all started in the supermarket line
A woman and her child in front of me about the age of nine
He was quite the handful I felt so sorry for her
All he did was whine, moan and stir
She tried calming her little tyrant as calmly as she could
But she was finally losing her cool which I totally understood
The checker finally rang her up and told her the amount
Everyone in line was so happy as this child was too paramount
But at this store they have those change machines that spit out what you are owed
The darn thing got jammed and I swear every person in line sighed and their eyes rolled
That poor woman with the child about the age of nine
He went into a rage and started to whine
The checker banged hopelessly on the contraption calling management over the phone
But the little tyrant really started to throw a fit screaming, 'I want to go home!'
The checker grabbed the phone and proceeded to say “We need the change please at register 4!!”
You could hear the checker Clearly yelling over the intercom throughout the entire store
But all this did was entice that little brat to yell even more
Kicking and screaming throwing himself to the floor
The woman with that child of about age nine
Said “keep the change please, we are fine”
She rustled up her groceries and hustled with her tyrant out the door
And this ends my story of my trip to the grocery store
