A place to call home

A place to call home

A Poem by Seantesunflower

Deep in the country down a windy dirt road
Past some evergreens and willows
Resides a place of comfort where I can unload
Where the wind gently blows

So different then the place from wince I came
All of the hustle and rush
Somewhere nobody is playing the corporate game
A welcoming hush

Walking up the driveway to the entryway
A comforting excitement
The smell of sweet orchids lining the walkway
A place I love to frequent

I pat the head of my garden gnome
Just as I walk through the door
This place…A place to call home
I could never ask for more

This paints a delightful picture, and it took me to a nice, peaceful place! Well done, and heartfelt.
