I have wanted you for so long
All of the naysayers said you weren’t strong

So many things left so undone and askew
So many things of me are also you

But there is hope in this house standing strong
I’ll go through you and fix whatever is wrong

You and I will heal together by my own two hands
I have for you many plans

This will take time and a lot of blood sweat and tears
But you will be a shining castle built to last the years

In the living room I’ll paint your walls a bold color of gold
A warm entrance and a welcome feeling will unfold

The kitchen will be a chef’s delight
Light blues and crème colors so happy and bright

On the stairway walls pictures hang of springs so divine
And through the banner railings vine flowers will intertwine

That gloomy atmosphere trapped within your dwelling
Will be lifted with brightness and colors compelling

I’ll roll up my sleeves and with every touch of my hands
I’ll unfold my plans and make you into something grand

You will have Bermuda grass in the yard so green
You will be a sight to be seen

Colorful flowers will surround you in front
Blooming freedom and beauty so elegant

Sunshine yellow your color with white trim will adorn
Standing tall and beautiful never again to be outworn

Step by step we will heal
There is hope now that nobody can steal
