MERE IX

MERE IX

A Poem by Seanne Tholltree

I was in the middle of laughing
When I gazed at you studying alone
All the way to the basement.
I was shocked when I saw
Solving a math problem in
The air with sweat incessantly
Trickling that almost fogged your eyeglass.
A glimpse of smile unconsciously flashed on
My lips when I saw you open another pack
Of ink refill. You inspired me though
We don't know each other.
I hope someday I'll be beside
You merely calculating a math problem too.

Wow, this is a simple scene that I just found cute and sweet. Where in that moment you meet one's eyes and time just seem suspended. Thank you for sharing this one. ;)

I like this, especially this part:
"A glimpse of smile unconsciously flashed on
My lips when I saw you open another pack
Of ink refill. You inspired me though
We don't know each other.
I hope someday I'll be beside
You merely calculating a math problem too. "

I like how you made solving a math problem something important. I like the thoughts and the ending to the excellent poem.
