MERE IIA Poem by Seanne Tholltree2nd sonnetHere comes again another night, Another minute of seeing You up close as we move towards each other. But I hold it exactly seven inches away So as not to get cross-eyed The distance is a perfect spot to see your lovely face; Those chocolate colored eyes; the well shaped nose, Those virgin arched eyebrows; and a Hollywood curled hair. Before the minutes over, I smiled as I let it enter Upside down it goes, a little pause, and pulls it out We smiled at each other wanting to kiss Those soft pinkish lips. If and only if it wasn’t a mere reflection of mine While brushing my teeth in front of a mirror!
