MERE XLVII

MERE XLVII

A Poem by Seanne Tholltree

You want a boyfriend, right?

Then why aren’t you looking

For boys?

Why are you in love with the wrong one?

I’m telling you now Seanne

While it’s still early

To look, to stare literally

For boys that you met along the way

Don’t be too snobbish,

maybe he’d already stared at you

but you’re merely

too busy staring at someone else

come on

wake up.
