MERE XXVII

MERE XXVII

A Poem by Seanne Tholltree

You may not see me

Gazing at you,

Hear me praising you,

You may not smell

My presence

Nor feel my chi

But may I ask,

Does anybody own you?

Who owns you?

If none,

Can I own you?

Because right now

I feel the need to own,

For I’m not merely getting any younger.
