MERE XXIV

MERE XXIV

A Poem by Seanne Tholltree

I thank you for always being there for me

From black and white checkered skirt,

To gray skirt all the way to silver gray slacks

But behind your presence comes

 your shadow that meddles with

the walks of my own shadow.

That makes your shadow a shadow of my shadow

Now that I’m done with all those prescribed

Attires, I hope that together with my undressing

Will also accompany the undressing

of your shadow to my shadow.

Let me and my shadow go to where

we want to go because for all I know

a mere shadow doesn't have a shadow of its own.

Seanne Tholltree
This is what I meant when I ask two years ago, if a shadow also have a shadow? You might think that it was just one of my crazy thoughts,,,well it came from the root of the rootless tree..
