My broken heart

This poem is about two lovers and how one broke the others heart.

I will forever be happy in your arms.
They make me feel safe, happy.
YOU make me feel safe,happy.

I have no worries when I’m with you.
No reason to believe anyone would ever harm or break me.
Until you broke me.

You shattered my heart into a million pieces that I can’t seem to pick up.
Now my tears are overflowing a ten foot cup.

Now your arms no longer feel safe or make me happy. I never sounded the alarm when you broke in and stole my heart and ran away with it.

For that I am very ashamed of myself. I swear I will never let anyone inside my now broken heart again. I shall never wear my heart on my sleeve like I did before.

I am now a changed person. Some people look at me and say “wow”, others tend to whisper in each others ear. They don’t know I hear every word they say.they don’t know what they say doesn’t bother my broken heart anymore.

I am now forever and always changed.
