Into The Night

Into The Night

A Poem by The Traveler

Disappear into the night
Not a sound to be heard
Not even the whisper of a word
Leaving all behind
Choosing to not live blind
Going to expand the mind
And see the world
While everyone lives in their fold
So many narrow thinkers
But I'm tired of being a blinker
And missing what life has to offer
There is no one this should bother
I'm worried about me
Just as she should worry about she
And he worry about he
Given one life to live
Make the best of it I can
Because I'm my only fan

I can sure relate to this one, Traveler.

Our modern lives are so mundane most of the time. We sleep, eat, work, play then sleep again, stuck in a vortex of monotony. For most of us we only realise that life has much more to offer when it is all too late. We do have one life, so why not make the most of it while we can. Put aside the monotony and venture out into the world and expand our horizons.

A timely idea, nicely expressed. Good job.

Thank you very much. I try to view life as practical.
