How's that Go?A Poem by Sean KuchmanI wrote this about a homeless man that I knew when I worked at a convenience store. He had been a prominent business man, but lost a battle with mental illness.A multitude of voices Spinning through the cosmos of my mind Which one to answer Each strives for my attention A hornet’s nest of memories So real that I see them But I cannot yet see them For as I turn to the side I see the street I walk upon These old, gnarled feet I walk upon Cannot hold this world up anymore So tired, I let fall to the floor And as day slowly fades I laugh at a joke Gone now ten years
