extinguished flame

extinguished flame

A Poem by SeanErik

Whither goes the extinguished flame?

It seems to go up, and out.

All that's left are heaps of ash

and a fading warmth left behind.

I love the imagery you have used here!
This poem can have quite a depth to it, if the reader stops to think... I think it's a good metaphor for life
But you can also take it at face value / more literally and read it as musings on an extinguished flame

Either way, it's a beautiful poem :)

Very good, moving. It leaves me thinking, I like it a lot.
