Regret

Regret

A Poem by Sean45
"

A story about a past relationship.

"

Time slips through my fingers and shatters on the floor

Memories fly away as you walked out the door

Sweeping up the pieces, I find a picture drawn in stone

I never thought you'd walk away

Looking in your eyes I quietly say

"As you left, the clock stopped, and left me here"

I've read the scars inscribed in the floor

I scrape the tears away and miss you even more

The moments written in our hands are fading

A shroud of dust covers everything

It's the end but I'm just beginning

To feel the pain of what's been lost

And what's been crossed out

Silence is written across my lips

Without love, I can't live like this
