the fear

the fear

A Poem by sea lily

you are drunk,
and i am home.
blanketed
in man-sized sweatshirts
and grey undergarments
that cling
to my flesh.
(threaten me,
with all of this
your head on my breast)
i want the one
who could speak
as well
as he could kiss.
sapphire,
blue, blue
puddle
oil paint
blue as my nails.

how
how far
will i let you take my body?
let you have more and more of me
engorged
and sweaty

You have no idea how outside of you real this is. It speaks of a situation I know almost verbatim.. The emotion is of hopeless expectancy and unresolved sentiments.. I liked reading this very much..
