lonely road

lonely road

A Poem by sea lily

my friends
are all in love
and spend their weekends
in their made-of-love
arms they held
private bed
at the top of the stairs.
i'm with the girl
with daisies in her hair
and spending my nights
with another stranger
again.
every poetic statement
the lonely
lonely road
we walked
or cry for help.
you wheeled your bike,
sweat,
stubble,
something rare.
as we let the grass
tickle our skin
and drunk men stumbled past,
such lovely,
lovely girls.
but i am in love
with every one
who kissed my hair
and still left.
(their unmistakable scent.)
there
in my bed.
loving the next pair
of foreign hands
to find me there.
