soap and roses

soap and roses

A Poem by sea lily

these damp days,
in the doorway
fifteen
in the awkward chrysalis
of youth
and the smell of soap
and roses.
the sweet innocence
of white,
unshaven thighs
and a mouth just barely learning
how to lie.
