A Poem by sea lily

i see us
in the months of maybe.
and in the car wreck
on the highway
where they hung banners
saying
happy birthday, baby.
the places where the boys run
in their underpants
and we are no bronzed goddesses.
i want to steal your photo.
and use it to prove
when we,
in the dimension of poetry
and the name of cosmopolitan sexuality.
i'll be
the out-of-town lover,
travelling kit bag
spare pillow student other.
climbing up the vast hills
to reach you.
the music that guides
the glasses
that hide.
bringing you love
from this small city,
my sea-side beauty
and impossible
possibility.
