sugar teeth

sugar teeth

A Poem by sea lily

stay with me, tonight
sleepy.
the carpet-space next to me.
i drank water
that let me clearly see.
sweet lemon
coating sugar teeth.
i wore my cheap shoes
incase i needed somewhere to throw up
got drunk,
danced with you.
don't i know,
no matter who
they're never going to read me.
never going to feel me,
or hear me,
or get a chance to be near me.
not in the way
i need them to be.
just hear me speak
little lies
from my sherbet lemon
sugar teeth.
telling them they're the only one for me.
