ardour

A Poem by sea lily

you know how we are,
and the imaginings of our hearts.
i know you
like i always wanted to.
trick your heart and your mind
into believing
anything you want you to.
well i want this you.
or any other
you care to imagine.
they all have your face
and your turn of phrase.
when her train pulls in
you'll think of me no more.
poems and words
remnants of a week's
(year's)
ardour.
last chance for a love unsure.
i'll remain, to be
anybody's lily.
if they just wanted me
enough.
