A Poem by sea lily

tonight,
i became the one that he calls.
stumbling
on the paving stones
and past the battered old video rental store
claiming a kiss
from a shirt-tailed princess.
i want him to be the one
to make me smile
like this.
not you
and your passive beauty.
and the stream of words
steady,
from your lips.
