kiss me

kiss me

A Poem by sea lily

for my birthday,
my daddy gave me time.
and i stared, horrified,
at the clock face
that was taking my life.
i'm asleep at the wheel,
my head tilting to the passenger seat
hardly registering the expressions
that fleet
across your face
barely illuminate.
i will never believe in you
and i will never trust
your fleeting fancy
and the eyes that say,
kiss me.

well, there it is, isn't it? they don't know what they do; they take what is not theirs to take; thank you for putting this "out there"; "out there" is where healing is...
