artificially in love

typically,
tired.
and in love for tonight.
my limbs are the shallow tubes
of my own design
i would pray.
to hollow out my insides
to clutch those limbs tight
in physical compromise.
i let them lay claim to my flesh,
because you showed me it was worthless.
