A Poem by sea lily

he smashed the window-pane
of the middle-aged couple
in number forty-two.
thinking it was his house.
thinking it was his refuge.
in those days we held friendship
in a foreign medium
never knowing each-other's faces.
he says;
"you have the keys
to the life of my dreams.
hung around your neck
i've saved this for you..."
here,
your boy-blue watch
embraces my wrist.
and your year-younger kiss
touches my lips.
i can't tell who is holding up who
wearing your shirt
on a saturday night
with you.
as the clock struck two
i let the latch drop
and ran down the hill
where my heart stopped.
i couldn't dare to care,
and i don't feel a thing
except the cusses
when you just stand there.

boy,
if i never see you again
know that you wrote your name
in bright red pen
on my skin.
you asked for me.
i let you in.

you align your words, and balance them to tell your heart tales like only Lily can...and everyone who passes this way knows what I mean...
