euthanasia

euthanasia

A Poem by sea lily

we buried our dead
in shallow ground
with bells on their fingers.
in the graveyard we lingered
hoping for a sound.
that's how we lived,
in a world without
euthanasia.
clinging to what we wrote.
burning our bridges
and then building little boats.

oh, oh . . . this is something to come back to on darker days when the light from the burning bridges can lend a little cheer

This is as perfect as eleven lines could ever hope to be and I have nothing else to say.

this is wonderful reaching; and, just happens to be beautiful...

This seemed to inspire me. I felt the lose of empathy and the infestation
of apathy instead. We have seemed to forget how to hope. Sometimes we
take our relationships for granted, but there was once a time where things
could always be repaired. I loved this poem. We could take a person out of
their pain because we love them...but it would be giving up hope. In the end
we have still murdered the one our hope should save. In these days we seem
to give up too easily. I learned a lot in this thought provoking poem.
