there was a boy, who travelled from over the sea with wicked eyes, and a rogue charm. fixed his father's van couldn't have been older than twenty-three. made a mark on me, over the coffee bar. drank earl grey tea. had a smile that set his face free. didn't leave plates. i am just a girl, but he made sure to leave with a backwards turn.
Cute and fancy free I enjoyed the poem reading this I fet as though I was sitting in the sulight in a cafe in France sipping an espresso and reading a bright (as opposed to a dark or meloncholy poem) chapbook One that is almost ready for publication kinda reminicent of the twenth centry lyrical poetess Edna St. Vincent Mallay who just happens to be one of my favorites.
Ah, how interesting this poem is. A look into the unintentional over-analyzing of the famale mind, a perfect interpretation of an everyday meeting with one-sided thoughts.
Aw cute poem!!! I love this, great description and really flirtatious, I think. XD Like something that happens everyday, but it was marked as a special occasion through words. Great job with this - really unique and cute. =)
This was really sweet! I liked how your poem had a kind of inconspicuous backstory, and the way you gave the reader enough information to have an outline of what was going on, yet held back enough for there to be a sense of intrigue and mystery. For such a simplistic write, you really did create strong mental images through your descriptions, and I could definitely imagine the situation in my mind.

I'm growing out my hair
Like it was when I was single
It was longer than I'd known you
I had no money then
I had no worries then at all
But with such a high standard of living. more..
