A Poem by sea lily

i wait up so the time goes quickly,
and the boxing day coffee
will pass by me...
it's the day after
and everybody's a traveller.
my light
the only one for miles
and my lines
like the rambling of a child.
i think of thirty things...
i like waking up to the sun.
and finding that beside me
there's finally someone.
i like the ice cream
that's eight bucks a litre
and my father shakes his head
but
i like clutching hair
and having mine pulled.
i haven't disappeared.
i'm still here.
i like big boots.
i like conversations that go on forever
like bootlaces.
i like steaming milk for yuppie coffee
and making a perfect cappuccino.
i like people who
let their emotions show.
but i like people who hide them too.
(like you).
i don't think i've reached thirty
but this will have to do.

if she read this
could she tell me my name?
if she loved me
things would never ever
ever be the same.

I like this poem. Its sweet and full of innocent emotion.
I feel like I'm watching dandelions seeds scatter in the wind.
This definitely put a smile on my face.
