in dreaming

in dreaming

A Poem by sea lily

fluid dreamscape

and captive lost memory,

seducing me from the ordinary.

here,

i fancy i can taste the salt on your lips.

that heady chastisement

for a lack of unswerving loyalty.

they were all there;

the red-head

and the girl who stopped eating.

the girl who is still here.

the storm raged about my restless head,

i hung a wolf over my neck.

when i awoke, i was convinced

i'd sold my voice to the sea-witch

just so i could dance along glass

just so i could earn your love.

i dreamt i went to hell,

or so i should have told myself.
