i told you several times when you were drunk

i told you several times when you were drunk

A Poem by sea lily

when i've had a drink,
i see you in a different light.
face more precious perhaps
and you adopt
a different tone of voice
like you can't control the chords.
you pick fights
over insecurities
and i'm used to being the insane
the out-of-control one
the one who hides her head
on people's shoulders
and finds the smallest space in the house
to hide.
(i can't look after you too,
and who will look after me?)
so i'll tell you once and for all,
incase you elaborate a different tale
no, she didn't cheat;
atleast not that time.
and it was hard enough as it was
an insult to masculine pride
then you tell me it was a lie.
