self-portrait

self-portrait

A Poem by sea lily

shy art-student doesn't have
many friends
tags along breaks down in tears
in front of well-meaning
3d design tutors.
barista makes the coffee
smiles apologetically won't charge you
for that extra shot even though
we know it's 30p.
girlfriend starting out with the best intentions
to love and hold and keep
kept losing sleep (but now only loses her temper).
and if this errant friend came along
to you and claimed, this isn't how i planned
it to be.
except she did
this self-portrait- now a mockery.
